| NC leaders urge govt to find out long term solution to road mishaps | | | Early Times Report Jammu May 15 :- A deputation of National Conference leaders led by Provincial President Jammu Province Rattan Lal Gupta and others enior leaders called on Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand here today and urged the government to take immediate steps to find out a long term solution to the road accident incidents which are frequent in Doda and Kishtwar Districts. The deputation comprising Sajjad Ahmed Ktichloo, MLA Kishtwar, Tanvver Ahmed Kitchloo, District President Kishtwar and Brij Mohan Sharma, ex-MLC making special reference to the recent accident of Bhanderkote in Kishtwar District, urged the Dy. Chief Minister who himself visited the spot after the accident and issued immediate instructions to the District administration, to ensure that all those instructions should be implemented within the shortest possible time. Deputationists also urged to make Bhanderkote – Parmar road presently being looked after by the NHPC to be made operational throughout the year after its proper maintenance. The NC leaders also demanded that compassionate appointment cases be settled immediately and further demanded that district administration should have adequate arrangement to meet the any untoward situation. The party leaders also impressed upon the government to provide road protectors / steel barriers on the highway besides adequate provision of crane, fully equipped ambulances be also made available. Dy. Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and informed that immediate effective steps have already been taken to find out a long term solution to the accident incidents. He also assured the deputation that issues raised by them are already under active consideration of the government and action will be taken on these issues within a shortest possible time.
