KATRA, Nov 13: In compliance with the orders of SDM Katra regarding mandatory disclosure of tenant details, District Police Reasi conducted a general tenant verification drive in Sirah Kotla area under the jurisdiction of Police Post Kakryal.
During the checking, it was found that one person namely Ashok Kumar (age 59 years), SO Late Amar Chand, RO Sirah Colony, Katra, Reasi, had rented out his building comprising one shop and two rooms to Tarapada Mandal, S/O Krutibas Mandal, R/O Village Banabasan Dehurda, District Bhaleswar, Odisha, for the past five months without submitting the tenant particulars at the concerned Police Station for verification, as required under Part (b) of the SDM's order. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 308/2025 U/S 223(a) BNS stands registered against the house owner at Police Station Katra.
The entire operation was led by SHO P/S Katra Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the close supervision of SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and SP Katra Vipan Chandran, JKPS.
SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, JKPS appeals to the general public to ensure mandatory tenant verification before renting out any premises. Non-compliance shall invite legal action as per law. Cooperation of citizens is vital for maintaining peace and security in the district. |
