Early Times Report BHADERWAH, Nov 14: The Social Welfare Department, Tehsil Office Bhaderwah in collaboration with Child Line, organised a comprehensive awareness programme for students under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) here today. The event, coinciding with Children's Day, was held at Saraswati Memorial High School. The initiative aimed to educate young students about the growing threat of substance abuse and promote a healthier, safer community. The programme witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, staff of the TSWO office and representatives from Child Line Bhaderwah. Resource persons delivered informative talks highlighting the harmful physical, psychological and social effects of drug addiction. They also discussed preventive measures, early signs of substance abuse and the importance of seeking timely support. Speakers emphasised that combating drug abuse is a collective responsibility, urging students, teachers, parents and community members to work together to build a drug-free society. They encouraged students to become ambassadors of awareness and spread the message within their families and neighbourhood. |
