MANDI GOBINDGARH, Nov 14: Desh Bhagat University successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Insight into Research Tools", aimed at strengthening research skills and promoting academic excellence among faculty members. The event commenced with a Welcome Address and theme introduction by Dr. Khushboo Bansal, who emphasized the importance of research in driving innovation and enhancing academic quality. The Inaugural Address was delivered by the Worthy Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics) Dr. Amarjit Singh, who commended the organizing clubs for their initiative in nurturing a strong research culture within the university. The first technical session was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She provided valuable insights into qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, stressing the need for reliable data collection and analytical precision. A Debate Session followed, encouraging participants to exchange ideas and discuss challenges in research. In the second technical session, Dr. Anoop Singh, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, introduced participants to digital and computational tools essential for engineering and interdisciplinary research. An interactive Open Query Session fostered active discussion and clarification of research-related queries. Dr. Navneet Kaur Sandhu delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, and participants for their contributions to the success of the FDP. |
