JAMMU, Nov 14: Following the formation of the Jammu Division of Northern Railway, under the leadership of Mr. Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, multipurpose stalls are being allotted through e-auction at various railway stations. The aim is to provide better and varied facilities to passengers traveling through the station. Today, 14 November 2025, a multipurpose stall was inaugurated at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Railway Station (Udhampur). This multipurpose stall will cater to various passenger needs, ranging from food items to other essential items such as hygienic and fresh snacks, water bottles, juices, newspapers, magazines, and other essential items. This multipurpose stall is a significant initiative for passenger amenities at the station, providing passengers with a variety of useful items at one place.
Speaking about the multipurpose stall at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) Railway Station, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, said, "This multipurpose stall is an important part of the ongoing efforts to modernize the railway station and enhance passenger amenities, making it world-class." He further stated that the multipurpose stall at the station has been allotted for five years through e-auction, with a rent of approximately ?16,52,000 for five years. This represents a significant increase in railway revenue, and new multipurpose stalls will be opened at other stations in the division in the future." |
