Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 14: In a significant achievement, Jammu (Rural) Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past 19 years. Based on specific information, a police team of Police Station Gharota apprehended an absconder identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Zeban Matipora, District Kulgam. He was wanted in a case registered under FIR No. 172/1994 under Sections 353/336/337/147/148/120-B, 307/324/511/332 of the RPC of Police Station Gharota. The accused had been absconding for nearly two decades. Acting swiftly on the received inputs, the police team traced and arrested him from the area. He was produced before the Hon'ble Court and has been remanded to judicial custody at Ambphalla District Jail.
