Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 15: The Jammu Division, under the direction of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, conducts various campaigns to ensure the best possible service to all its passengers. The Jammu Division provides quality food, pure drinking water, and clean toilets to all passengers, and also conducts ticket checking campaigns at stations and trains to curb ticketless and irregular travel. In addition, a special ticket checking campaign was conducted on 14 November 2025, at various railway stations across the division. This campaign was conducted by teams formed by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal. The primary objective was to prevent ticketless and irregular travel and to ensure a safe, comfortable, and organized travel experience for passengers. In a single day ticket checking drive conducted on November 14th, 697 ticketless passengers were fined, and a fine of Rs 4,33,295 was collected. Regarding the ticket checking drive conducted in November, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Uchit Singhal stated, "Special ticket checking drives are conducted periodically in the division. In the month of November, a total of 4,861 ticketless passengers were fined, and a total fine of approximately Rs 3,004,260 was collected during the ticket checking drive conducted from November 1st to November 15th." He further stated that the ticket checking drive will discourage ticketless travel and protect railway revenue. Furthermore, it will ensure passenger convenience and safety, especially for those with valid tickets. |
