Humanity Public School celebrated Bal Mela to commemorate Children's Day

JAMMU, Nov 15: Humanity Public School celebrated a vibrant and joyful Bal Mela to commemorate Children's Day, bringing together fun, laughter and celebration in the school campus. Nearly 1700 students from Pre-Nursery to Class 12th experienced the delightful festivities of the event, which was specially organised to honour the spirit of childhood.
The Bal Mela was inaugurated by Col. Hemant Kandpal, Commanding Officer, 157 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) Sikh, and Lt. Col. Rohit Sharma, Second-in-Command, 157 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) Sikh. The Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak, and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Anku Charak, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed Chief Guests, accompanied by Admin Incharge, Mr. Akashdeep Raina and Incharges of the distinguished wings.
A vibrant array of food and gaming stalls transformed the entire campus into a colourful carnival. Students relished an assortment of delectable items such as Panipuri, Kachallu, Bhelpuri, Sandwiches, Noodles, Momos, Popcorn, French Fries, and Candy Floss. Teachers enthusiastically prepared and served these delightful treats, showcasing their culinary expertise and ensuring that students enjoyed a memorable gastronomic experience. The Mela also hosted engaging games and activity corners, designed and managed entirely by teachers, encouraging participation, creativity, and healthy competition. The gaming zone and bouncy corner resonated with laughter and excitement as students from all classes actively participated, adding vibrancy to the event.
A major attraction of the day was the Lucky Draw, conducted for all wings. In the Higher Secondary Wing Lucky Draw, Rajat of Class 11th-C secured the first prize, followed by Nandani of Class 12-B with the second prize, and Shreya of Class 12th-A with the third prize. In the High/Middle Wing, the first prize was won by Jaibes Khokhar of Class 9th-B, the second prize went to Tanmey Khajuria of Class 6-B, and the third prize was bagged by Ishrat Malik of Class 9th-B. The Primary Wing witnessed enthusiastic participation, where Sehajveer of Class 1st - E won the first prize, followed by Manik of Class 1st - D securing the second prize, and Harsh of Class 1st - B winning the third prize. In the Pre-Primary Wing, the first prize was awarded to Yashika of LKG - C, the second prize to Eklavya of UKG - D, and the third prize to Raghav Singh of UKG - C. The Chief Guest, Col. Hemant Kandpal, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, appreciating the school's efforts in fostering creativity, confidence, and holistic development among the students. He applauded the initiative of organising the Bal Mela as an enriching platform for students to explore, learn, and celebrate with joy. A formal Vote of Thanks was presented by the Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guests, parents, teachers, and students for their support and enthusiastic participation in making the event a grand success. He highlighted the significance of such events in strengthening the school community and enriching students' holistic growth.
The celebration concluded with an address by the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Anku Charak, who appreciated the teamwork of the staff and the spirited involvement of students. She emphasised the importance of co-curricular events in nurturing joy, unity, and the true essence of Children's Day.
The Bal Mela ended on a cheerful note, leaving students with cherished memories and a renewed spirit of celebration.
