| Soz calls on PM | | |
New Delhi May 15: Prof. Saifuddin Soz, Union Minister of Water Resources and President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, called on Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, late last night in national capital.
Spokesperson said that the Union Minister for water Resources Prof Soz apprised him of the latest political situation obtaining in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
Among other things, Prof. Soz earnestly requested the PM that keeping the fact in view that Jammu and Kashmir is a Muslim majority State, Haj quota for the State should be increased substantially.
PM assured Prof. Soz that the proposal will receive proper consideration.
