| Reasi police nab drug peddler, heroin-like substance seized | | | Early Times Report REASI, Nov 18: In its continuous fight against the menace of drugs, District Police Reasi achieved a success when a patrolling team of Police Station Reasi apprehended one person and recovered contraband from his possession. During routine patrolling, the police team intercepted and detained Deepak Kumar S/O Vijay Kumar R/O Trintha, Tehsil & District Reasi. Upon search, the patrolling party recovered approximately 3.88 grams of heroin-like substance, wrapped in a white polythene packet, from his possession. Taking cognizance of the matter, an instant case FIR No. 173/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi. The accused has been taken into custody. Police have initiated a detailed investigation to ascertain the backward and forward linkages of the accused, identify his associates and uncover the source of the narcotic substance. The whole operation was conducted by the team of Police Station Reasi, led by SHO Police Station Reasi, Insp. Khyatiman Khajuria, under the overall supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Vishal Singh jamwal and Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed - JKPS. SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, JKPS, reiterates that District Police Reasi remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drugs and continues to appeal to the public to support efforts to eradicate the drug menace from society. |
