UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: Acting against drug trafficking, Police team of PS Chenani led by its SHO intercepted a Toyota taxi JK02DG-1160 during routine checking on the Srinagar Udhampur NHW and recovered 15 kg 310 gms of poppy straw.
The accused have been identified as Tarandeep Singh S/o Hardev Singh R/o Makhan Pur Gojran, Jammu and Parvinder Singh S/o Surjit Singh R/o Ward No. 2, Bhour Camp, Chhatha, Jammu. Both failed to justify the possession of the contraband and were arrested on the spot.
FIR No. 121/2025 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Chenani. Further investigation is in progress.
With this arrest, total number of drug Peddlers arrested by Udhampur Police this year has reached 168. |
