KVK Samba organises live screening of release of 21st instalment of PM KISAN 11/19/2025 6:52:06 PM early times report Samba, Nov 20: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba under the dynamic leadership of Dr. B.N.Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu and guidance of Dr. Amrish Vaid, Director Extension, SKUAST Jammu organized Live screening of release of 21st instalment of PM KISAN at KVK. The inauguration of mega event by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi marked the release of 21st instalment of PM KISAN at KVK Samba. During the programme the Prime Minister releases an amount of Rs. 18,000 crores for 9.8 crores of farmers from all over the country. Dr. Sanjay Khajuria, Chief Scientist & Head KVK Samba while welcoming the guests and farmers in the programme and highlighted the activities of KVK for promotion of entrepreneurship and start-ups. He also shared the glaring examples set-up by the farmer in the agri-entrepreneurship such as mushroom, value addition, dairy and piggery. The programme was attended by more than 250 participants including Progressive farmersand Farm Women. Dr. Saurav Gupta farmers discussed the initiatives of government to support agriculture sector. He suggested farmers to adopt diversification by adopting innovative products and enterprises. He assured full support of all the departments to upscale new agricultural technologies and products among farmers of Samba district. He suggested to promote value addition and processing in agriculture and horticulture through start-ups for percolation of economic benefits to the ultimate farmers. During the programme KVK Samba, honoured the hard work and dedication of the districts progressive farmers and farm women by presenting them with Certificates of Appreciation. The progressive farmers of the district were awarded with certificate of appreciation.
