Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 19: 4 J&K Bn NCC of GDC Kathua proudly organized its first activity namely "Veer Samagam", a special community-connect initiative under the series of activities to mark the celebration of NCC Day 2025. This meaningful event was dedicated to honouring the wives of Army officers - the silent pillars of strength who stand resiliently behind India's Armed Forces. As part of this initiative, NCC cadets visited the homes of these "Veer Naaris", interacting with them to understand their inspiring journeys, sacrifices, and experiences. The interaction aimed at instilling in cadets a deeper sense of respect, patriotism, and gratitude for the families who contribute silently to the nation's defence. During the visit, cadets extended heartfelt appreciation by presenting tokens of gratitude and specially curated gifts to the "Veer Naaris". The gesture reflected NCC's commitment to fostering compassion, discipline, and social responsibility among young cadets. The program received warm appreciation from all participants, creating an emotional and memorable experience for both the cadets and the Army families. This is the first activity under the weeklong celebration of NCC Day. This day is of great importance Day which is observed annually to commemorate the formation of the National Cadet Corps, an organization that strives to develop qualities of leadership, discipline, and civic responsibility among the youth of India. The whole program was conducted under the guidance of worthy principal of the college Dr. Savi Behl and coordinated by Lt. (Dr.) Daya Ram, ANO and Dr. Pinkey, CTO, 4 J&K Bn NCC of GDC Kathua. |
