Early Times Report REASI, Nov 19: Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Sh. Paramvir Singh, JKPS today chaired a crime review meeting at District Police Office Reasi to evaluate the prevailing crime scenario and strengthen policing strategies in the jurisdictions of Arnas and Mahore. The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Reasi Sh. Iftikhar Ahmed, JKPS, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Sh. Vishal Singh Jamwal, SDPO Arnas Sh. Updesh Kumar, SDPO Mahore Sh. Parul Bhardwaj, JKPS, SHO P/S Arnas Insp. Chaman Gorkha, SHO P/S Mahore Insp. Jeet Singh and SHO P/S Chassana Insp. Ravinder Kumar. During the review, SSP Reasi analyzed current crime patterns and emphasized proactive policing, enhanced field coordination and increased intelligence gathering to ensure prompt and effective action against criminal elements. Officers were instructed to maintain strict surveillance over habitual offenders, suspicious individuals and crime-prone pockets. A detailed discussion was held on the critical components of the New Criminal Laws, including E-Sakshya, SIDs, E-Summon, MedLeapr, Zero FIR, E-FIR, Community Service, Trial in Absentia, success stories, FSL visits, and monitoring of cases falling under the 60-day and 90-day investigation timelines. The SSP stressed that FSL visits are mandatory for cases involving offences punishable with imprisonment of seven years or more. Reiterating the importance of timely and transparent investigations, SSP Reasi directed officers to strictly adhere to procedural timelines and ensure 100% disposal of cases within the 60/90-day framework. He further instructed all Investigating Officers to effectively utilize digital tools such as E-Sakshya for electronic evidence, E-Summon for speedy communication and to maintain close coordination with the Prosecution Wing and FSL units to enhance investigation quality. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to uphold justice, strengthen investigation standards and improve conviction rates through meticulous case handling and diligent implementation of the new criminal laws. |
