Chandigarh, Nov 20: To commemorate National Library Week, the Library Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women organised a specialised training programme on ‘Creation and Management of Vidwan ID’. The session was designed to assist faculty members and researchers in enhancing their academic visibility and strengthening the college’s institutional presence through Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS). The resource team guided participants through a detailed, step-by-step process of creating, updating, and optimising their Vidwan profiles, enabling them to effectively showcase their research output, expertise, and academic accomplishments. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 85 faculty members who got hands-on training, actively engaging in profile creation, data uploading, and verification tasks in real time. The session concluded with an insightful Q&A segment, where faculty members discussed various aspects of research profile management and sought clarity on technical procedures and best practices. Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the initiative and encouraged all faculty members to create and maintain their Vidwan profiles, emphasising its significance in contributing to the institution’s academic growth and visibility.
