| GDC Thannamandi holds Round 4 Session of Mission Yuva Udyam Jagriti 4.0 | | | early times report
Thannamandi, Nov 20: The Team Mission Yuva in collaboration with Department of Economics, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Career Counselling cell of GDC Thannamandi, organized series of awareness sessions from November 17 and 20 as part of round 4 of Udyam Jagriti 4.0, an initiative of Mission Yuva. A series of awareness sessions organized under the patronage of Principal of College, Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed. Dr. Nagina Kousser, Convener Mission Yuva and Dr. Ashaq Malik, Convener IIC and Career Counselling Cell along with Dr. Shazia Poswal, Head, Agriculture Technology in the college co-ordinated the program. The purpose of these sessions was to sensitize the students about the entrepreneurial ecosystem and equipping them with essential knowledge to help them evolve into potential job creators. The students were briefed about entrepreneurship development with a special Focus on capital building and establishing linkages with the e-commerce market. During the session detailed information was disseminated on various components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem including Nana enterprises, small scale business, MSMEs and sunrise sector. Additionally, students were aware about the process of accessing funding for small ventures and startup, ensuring the students become aware of the financial avenues available to them. The team members guided the students through a step-by-step process about the mission Yuva with special focus on industrial awareness. The students downloaded Mission Yuva App and registered on the platform from their smart phones, and submitted the feedback form associated with mission Yuva Jagriti Udyam Jagriti 4.0 During the certificate distribution ceremony of Summer Internship on November 19th, Director Horticulture Jammu Gul Sayed highlighted various governmental schemes in the horticulture sector and underlined the need of connecting this hands-on training on food preservation and processing with the entrepreneurship and employment at par with ideals of mission Yuva. Dr Farooq also emphasized upon the promotion of youth skill development and community engagement, as is reflected in Mission Yuva 4.0, to generate employment and boost the economy of the region.
