JAMMU, Nov 20: Continuing its special drive against illegal mining, Jammu Police seized four vehicles involved in the transportation of illegally mined material in the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran sahib, Jammu. During early morning hours, a police party of PS Miran sahib was on patrolling duty when reliable information was received about 03 dumper and 01 tractor-trolleys carried in illegal mining.
Acting swiftly, the police party seized the vehicles. Upon checking, 04 dumpers and one trolley was found fully loaded with sand, 04 Vehicles were seized and brought to Prthivipur Naka , where legal proceedings under relevant mining laws were initiated.
The District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu has been informed for further necessary action. |
