| District police Ramban seize 915 Pregabalin capsules | | | Early Times Report
BANIHAL, Nov 20: Acting on specific and reliable inputs, the Station House Officer (SHO) Banihal, along with a team of police officers, conducted a joint operation yesterday on 19.11.2025 in coordination with the Drug Inspector Ramban and in the presence of the Executive Magistrate Banihal. The operation led to the seizure of a significant consignment of Pregabalin-containing capsules from the Delhivery Courier Service center, Banihal. The seizure included 915 Pregabalin Capsules having an estimated value of Rs 27,613.40
The consignment, believed to have been booked under the name of a different individual, was confiscated on Form 16 under the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The material has been taken into official custody.
As per procedure, a formal investigation will be initiated to identify the source, supplier, manufacturer, and the intended recipient of the illegal consignment after obtaining custody permission from the Hon'ble Court. The District Police and Drug Control authorities remain committed to curbing the misuse and illegal trafficking of controlled substances in the region.
