| Manawa elected president, Manga Ram general secretary of J&K Prajapati (Kumhar) Sabha | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 23: Fresh elections for the Zonal Bodies, State President, and General Secretary of the J&K Prajapati (Kumhar) Sabha (Regd.) were held on Sunday for a five-year term from 23rd November 2025 to 22nd November, 2030. The polling process concluded smoothly at the Prajapati Bhawan, Below Indira Chowk, Sant Sri Gora Ji Marg, Jammu. As per the official notification issued by the Office of the Election In-Charge (Ref. No. PPS/179/25), only two nominations were received following the Election Notice No. PPS/169-171 dated November 9, 2025. The nominations were filed by Ayodhya Kumar Manawa for the post of State President and Er. Manga Ram for the post of General Secretary. Since no other nominations were submitted, both candidates were declared elected unopposed. A.K. Manawa has assumed the charge of State President, while Er. Manga Ram has taken over as General Secretary for the tenure spanning 23rd November 2025 to 22nd November 2030. Following his election, the newly appointed State President has been empowered, as per the Constitution of the Prajapati Sabha, to nominate members of the Central Working Committee and constitute other committees necessary for the efficient and seamless functioning of the Sabha. The Election In-Charge expressed satisfaction over the smooth completion of the zonal and central elections and extended best wishes to the newly elected leadership for their upcoming term. |
