JAMMU, Nov 24: A major infrastructural boost was witnessed in Jammu West as the much-awaited blacktopping work at Ranjitpur Panchayat was inaugurated today by the MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta.
The event marked the fulfillment of a long-pending demand of the local residents, who had been requesting road upgradation for several years. The inauguration was attended by prominent BJP leaders, officials and enthusiastic locals, reflecting the importance of the project for the community.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Arvind Gupta reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring better road connectivity and improved public amenities in every part of Jammu West.
“Fulfilling people’s demands is my foremost responsibility. I had promised to complete this road, and today that promise stands delivered,” he said, receiving warm appreciation from the gathering.
He further assured that development works across all wards and panchayats will continue with the same dedication and pace.
The programme also witnessed the presence of Talab Tillo Mandal President Anil Angral and senior BJP leader Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, who praised the MLA’s proactive approach toward development. They stated that improved road infrastructure will not only ease daily commuting but also enhance overall quality of life in the area.
Community members attending the event included former Sarpanch Rajkumar Sharma, Pritpal Singh, Avinash Singh, BJP workers Anil Singh Rakwal, Arun Sharma, Darshan, Vicky and Neetu, along with several local residents and party workers.
PWD Department JE Rajat Sharma also present on the occasion and briefed the gathering about the technical aspects of the project. The total cost of the blacktopping work is Rs 50 lakh, reflecting a significant public investment aimed at strengthening local infrastructure.
The event concluded with residents expressing gratitude to MLA Arvind Gupta for addressing their long-standing concern and ensuring that developmental activities remain a priority in Jammu West.
