Jasrota, Nov 24: The BJP Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is going full throttle to realize the vision of comprehensive development across Jammu and Kashmir, leaving no room for prejudice or bias.
This was stated by former Minister and MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia after inaugurating the PMGSY road from Amargarh to Sumwan, spanning 3.5 km, at a cost of Rs 50 lakh. The event also witnessed the kickstart of blacktopping work on the Chann Arorian to Bann Link Road, undertaken under the Cities & Town initiative, at a cost of Rs 8 lakh.
In his address, MLA Jasrotia expressed heartfelt gratitude to Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, for approving the project under the PMGSY scheme. "We are grateful to Dr. Jitendra Singh ji for his tireless efforts in securing funds for our constituency's development projects," MLA Jasrotia said.Highlighting the commitment of BJP to the all-round development of J&K and to serve the people of Jammu & Kashmir, Jasrotia said that BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reinforced the existing infrastructure and also developed new state-of-art infrastructure in the education, medical, electricity, road, water, science & technology, etc. while also inviting government and private investments in the region.
The function was attended by prominent public representatives and officials, including AEE PWD Mahesh , Sarpanch Makhni Devi , Sarpanch Darbari Lal , Panch Mohan , Gopal Sharma , Dinesh Bawa , Panch Neelam Devi , Master Malwinder , Sonu Punia , Sarpanch Pallu , Sarpanch Yogesh , Sarpanch Raj Kumar , Naib Sarpanch Dev Raj , Harisham , Rashpal Sharma , Omkar Sharma , Raghubir Singh besides others.
Addressing the gathering, Jasrotia stated that, unlike the National Conference (NC), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress—who often seek support through divisive tactics—the BJP has pursued popularity through a focus on development. “Our goal is to serve society without any distinction of region, religion, or language. This commitment has fostered unwavering trust among diverse communities who believe in our mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” he said.
Jasrotia emphasized the unprecedented pace of development in J&K following the abrogation of Article 370.
“The momentum in development since then is extraordinary and unwavering, fulfilling people’s aspirations in an exemplary manner. No other party has shown the will or the courage to match BJP’s commitment to development, making it the party of choice for all,” he added.
Later, Jasrotia interacted with local residents, listened to their civic concerns, and assured them that their issues would be addressed promptly by coordinating with the relevant authorities. He assured the people of the area that several more development works are in pipeline and the same can be taken up in the phased manner.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jasrotia said Amargarh to Sumwan road will not only enhance accessibility but also boost economic growth and improve the quality of life for our people. He further emphasized, "Infrastructure development is the backbone of progress. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our roads, bridges, and other essential facilities are built to last, benefiting our people and future generations."MLA Jasrotia stressed the importance of quality work and timely completion, saying, "I urge the concerned authorities to ensure that the work is completed on time and to the highest standards, so that our people can reap the benefits of these projects."
