Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 24: Balbir Ram Rattan, a follower of Guru Ravidass ji, paid tribute on the martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji and said that his unparalleled sacrifice is an invaluable part of India’s spiritual, cultural, and human heritage. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji sacrificed his life for the protection of faith, human rights, and truth. His sacrifice is not only a part of Sikh history but also a source of inspiration for the entire world.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s message is just as relevant today as it was centuries ago. He explained that when oppression, injustice, and religious persecution were at their peak, Guru ji chose the path of protecting humanity without any fear. He not only protected the religion and dignity of the Kashmiri Pandits but also proved that the defence of religion does not mean safeguarding only one’s own faith, but becoming the voice of every weak and oppressed person. He further said that Guru ji’s life teaches us that true courage is standing for truth and justice, no matter how difficult the circumstances may be. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji’s message also reminds us that unity, brotherhood, and peaceful coexistence are the foundations of any strong nation.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that today, when the world is facing many challenges, such as religious extremism, social tension, and a decline in human values, following the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is extremely important. He appealed to the youth to draw inspiration from Guru ji’s teachings, serve society, and create an environment where every religion, every thought, and every individual is respected.
He said that the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji teaches us that when truth and righteousness are in danger, remaining silent is the greatest crime. A nation and society progress only when its citizens fearlessly choose the path of justice and humanity. The supreme message of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji will continue to guide humanity forever, he said.
