SNPWA holds Circle Conference

Jammu, Nov 24: The 2nd Circle Conference of Sanchar Nigam Pensioners Welfare Association was conducted at Jammu on 22-11-2025 in Grand Kamla Palace, Akhnoor Road, with an overwhelming response from retirees of DOT/BSNL focused on strengthening the welfare framework for pensioners and addressing key issues related to pension revision, healthcare access, and timely grievance redressal.
The event opened with a welcome address by Circle Secretary Sh. P K Bali, highlighting the significant role pensioners continue to play as knowledge carriers and contributors to society. Expert speakers and senior representatives from Central Govt Pensioners associations, Controller of Communication Accounts and Circle Secretary of Sanchar Nigam Executive Association were also present in the conference. All India General Secretary of SNPWA Comrade G.L.Jogi, presented updates on policy changes in 8th CPC (TOR) and ongoing efforts to streamline pension-related issues.. Interactive sessions allowed participants to share their concerns, recommendations, and experiences, fostering constructive dialogue between pensioners..
A major outcome of the conference was the adoption of a resolution urging authorities to prioritize digital facilitation, improve medical reimbursement processes, CGHS issues and ensure transparent communication regarding pension revisions. Participants also agreed to strengthen circle-level coordination to support members more effectively..
Elections of the new body were also held and Sh. Pradeep Kumar Bali, Sh. Ravinder Kak and Sh. Ashok Kumar Pandita were unanimously elected as Circle President, Circle Secretary and Financial Secretary. Other office bearers of the association were also elected. The election process was conducted by O K Koul (Senior member of the association) and results were declared.
