NSUI celebrates UPA’s victory in LS polls

Jammu, May 17- The state unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) celebrated the victory of UPA in the general election 2009 and the winning of two seats of Jammu region by the party candidates Madan Lal Sharma and Ch. Lal Singh with a reasonable margin of votes, in very colorful way.
The NSUI activists at drums beats danced to the tunes of patriotic songs like ‘yeh desh veer jawabnoon ka’ at various chowks and streets of the Jammu city including the ever busy Dogra chowk and Jewel Chowk. Hundreds of crackers went off in the sky when State President Rashid Coudhary joined the activists in Dogra chowk this afternoon. Activists were holding the portraits of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, PM Dr. Manmohan Singh and of Rahul Gandhi, the young and dynamic leader, because of whom party made a great come back in various parts of the country particularly in Uttar Pardesh.
The activists shared their joy and happiness with the people by offering them sweets among the general public. NSUI thanked the people of Jammu region particularly the youth of the region for making the victory of Madan Lal Sharma and Ch. Lal Singh possible.
Speaking on the occasion Rashid Choudhary described the UPA victory as victory of secular India, peace and development of the country. He congratulated the people of Jammu region for electing, Madan Lal Sharma and Ch. Lal Singh
He said that NSUI will very soon take up all the issues including the establishment of IIM and Central University with the UPA Government.
Shahnawaz Choudhary, State Vice President observing faith in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi congratulated the NSUI members for their active participation in the elections which yielded the aspired results.
