Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Nov 26: The Department of Commerce and the Department of History proudly inaugurated the week-long celebration of Samvidhaan Divas on 26 November 2025, commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Principal Dr. Ashu Vashisht emphasized that the Preamble reading and the documentary screening held on 26 November serve as meaningful reminders of India's democratic foundations. "The Constitution is not merely a legal document; it is a living expression of our collective aspirations. Engaging students with the ideals enshrined in the Preamble strengthens their awareness of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity-values that remain essential for nation-building," the Principal noted. The inaugural day featured a collective reading of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution by faculty members, staff, and students. The event highlighted the enduring values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, reaffirming the community's commitment to constitutional principles and democratic responsibility. Following the Preamble reading, students and faculty attended a special screening of a documentary on the making of the Indian Constitution. The film offered an insightful account of the drafting process, the vision of the Constituent Assembly, and the historical significance of the Constitution as the foundation of India's democracy. The screening was followed by an interactive discussion, where participants reflected on the relevance of constitutional ideals in contemporary society.
