| DC Budgam lays foundation of Iqra Mission School | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 17- Peace and prosperity in a society is imperative to provide thrust to the education sector, which can improve social and economic status of the underprivileged sections of the society, said Deputy Commissioner Badgam Mohammed Rafi while laying foundation stone of Iqra Mission School at Sanoor Kalipora, in Budgam district here today.
He said effective schooling and responsible parental care are prerequisites for children to excel in the field of education, adding that monitoring progress of children is vital for their academic growth.
The school is being constructed by Jammu and Kashmir Khidmat Khalaq Trust.
Later, the DC distributed financial assistance among schoolchildren belonging to weaker sections of the society.
Chairman of the Trust, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din said the school will have hostel facilities for the students and will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh. He said the institute will provide education to the poor and deserving students and will be completed within the next two years.
