Early Times Report REASI, Nov 26: District Police Reasi today observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) with great enthusiasm and solemnity by organizing Preamble Reading Ceremonies across all Police Offices, Units and Posts of the district. The observance commemorated the historic adoption of the Constitution of India on 26th November 1949. To honor the spirit and values enshrined in the Constitution, officers and officials of District Police Reasi assembled in their respective units and collectively read out the Preamble to the Constitution of India, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. Senior officers led the ceremonies held at the District Headquarters, Sub-Divisional Headquarters, police Stations, police posts, District Police Lines (DPL) and other units. The initiative sought to enhance constitutional awareness among police personnel and reinforce the importance of constitutional duties and responsibilities in day-to-day policing. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Reasi, Paramvir Singh, JKPS, underscored the Constitution's significance as the guiding framework for all actions of law enforcement agencies. He emphasized that every police officer must remain dedicated to upholding constitutional values while ensuring the safety, security, and rights of the citizens.
