Udhampur, Nov 26: Udhampur Police has achieved a significant success as the Hon’ble Principal Sessions Judge, Udhampur rejected seven bail and anticipatory bail applications filed in connection with FIR No. 135/2025 under sections 316(5), 318(4), 336(2), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 61 BNS of Police Station Ramnagar, pertaining to a major case of financial misappropriation and forged official documents. During the hearing, the Court concurred with the submissions of Udhampur Police, observing that the case involves serious financial irregularities, including the misuse of government funds and creation of forged records. The Court further noted that the investigation is at a critical and sensitive stage and releasing the accused at this juncture may lead to tampering of evidence, influencing witnesses and obstruction of the ongoing probe. With these findings, all seven applications were dismissed giving significant support to the ongoing investigation. The order reflects the continued firm and focused action of Udhampur Police against economic offences and corruption. |
