| Challan produced by Janipur PS, Jammu in 2015 Murder case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: The Janipur Police Station have produced the challan in case FIR No. 08/2015 under Section 302 RPC before the Court of the Hon’ble Sub Judge, Jammu, against accused Ramesh Kumar S/O Dewan Chand R/O Dachan, Kishtwar. The case had been under investigation for the past 10 years, but through the diligent efforts of SDPO City West Jammu Dr Satish Bhardwaj JKPS and SHO Janipur Insp Vikram Sharma, under the supervision of SP City North Sh Vivek Sharma JKPS, the investigation has been completed, and the chargesheet has been produced in the absence of the accused.
The accused has been absconding for the past 10 years, and the police have initiated proceedings for Trial-in-Absentia under Section 356 BNSS against him as per new criminal laws.This demonstrates the Janipur Police’s commitment to ensuring justice, even in the absence of the accused. The case will now proceed in the court, and the police are committed to seeing it through to its logical conclusion. |
