| NIF hails Jammuities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MAY 17: The Nationalistic Intellectual Forum Jammu expressed its gratitude to the people of Jammu in particular and also the rest of the countrymen for supporting the Indian National Congress in a big way and voting for stability at the Centre. The Forum also congratulated Madan Lal Sharma Member of Parliament for his record win by more than 120000 votes in the Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency.
The president of the Nationalistic Intellectual Forum, Advocate Gagan Basotra while talding to the member of the Forum appreciated the Forum efforts in campaigning for the Indian National Congress candidate Madan Lal Sharma. He congratulated the people of Jammu for ever remaining vigilant and for voting for the congress and defeating a divisive agenda.
The Nationalistic Intellectual Forum has urged upon Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to give representation to the Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, in the Cabinet as the same has been neglected for the last 60 years. The Forum pleads that this is the largest constituency in J&K and deserves its share of development and representation. The Forum has also decided to send a delegation to Delhi to highlight their demand.
Prominent Intellectuals who also attended the meeting included Advocate Gagan Basotra, Shailendra Aima, Hari Om, S. Randeep Singh, Th. Amrik Singh, Ashok Misra, Prof. M.M. Bhardwaj, Anil Sharma, Sachin Gupta, Mandip Singh, Ashok Arora.
