Brigadier (Retd) R.S. Langeh, VSM, Director Sainik Welfare Department alongwith Lt Col (Retd) Man Singh Jamwal, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Udhampur visited Pouni in connection with ESM Rally held here today.
A large number of ESM/Widows from far-flung areas i.e. Reasi, Arnas, Ransoo, Bharakh and Bhambla were present on the occasion.
Brig Langeh spoke on various concessions and welfare scheme extended by the Central/State Govt for the welfare of ESM/Widows and apprised the ESM and widows about the importance of Joint Notification for family pension, publication of Part II Orders of their kith and kins. Visitors also informed the gathering about Prime Minister Scholarship schemes for the wards of ESM/Widows, Daughter’s marriage grant, Demise Grant and ADLR Scheme.
They also apprised about the Relief to Ex-J&K Militia personnel who were discharged at their own request/on medical grounds and also assured the ESM/Widows to provide every possible help to them.
