| Rectify anomalies caused in pay scales in SRO93: Harsh to govt | | | Early Times Report Jammu may 18 MLA and Chief Spokesman of JKNPP Harsh Dev Singh has called upon the government to take corrective action so as to rectify the anomalies caused in the pay scales of several categories of employees due to the hotch potch implementation of 6th Pay Commission Report. In a press statement Mr Singh accused the government of lack of application of mind in effecting the revision of pay scales of different categories of employees, which created anomalous situation in the pay structures resulting in resentment amongst the employees. He called for immediate remedial action in this regard so that the discrepancies in the pay scales could be rectified and different categories of employees were assured of a fair deal. JKNPP leader further has regretted that while the elite classes and categories have been given substantial benefit, the deprived classes and categories including the adhoc employees, daily rated workers, contractuals ReTs and SPOs have been shown contemptible apathy and neglect by the government. He called for enhancement of daily wage of the daily rated workers from Rs. 70/- per day to Rs. 200/- per day in conformity with the hike affected in the salaries of various other categories. Harsh Dev Singh further demanded the increase of honorarium of ReTs and SPOs to a minimum of Rs. 5000/- per month in view of steep rise in the price index and also in consonance with the spirit of 6th Pay Commission Report.
