L. Raina, and Mr. Vinay Sawarkar. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on AIIMS Jammu's current and planned AI initiatives, including AI-powered diagnostics, predictive medicine, clinical decision support, surgical support, virtual care, and telemedicine. Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta shared insights on ongoing digital transformation projects, highlighting the institution's vision for integrating AI into healthcare delivery. Following the visit, a Zoom demonstration session was held, attended by all HODs and concerned departmental teams at AIIMS Jammu. Led by Dr. Abhay Chopada, the session showcased the full spectrum of AI-driven healthcare capabilities, combining clinical expertise with innovative AI solutions. It provided an opportunity for AIIMS Jammu departments to engage directly with the platform and explore practical ways to implement AI in patient care, medical training, and hospital operations. The proposed Centre is expected to benefit patients and healthcare providers. AI-driven tools will make diagnosis and treatment faster, more accurate, and cost-effective, particularly in oncology, neurology, cardiology, and emergency care. AI-based triaging will help reduce waiting times, enabling clinicians to prioritise critical cases efficiently. The Centre will also act as a global training hub, providing doctors, nurses, technicians, and researchers with internationally benchmarked AI skills and certification, creating a highly skilled workforce capable of implementing AI safely. Claidroid Technologies has expressed its commitment to support AIIMS Jammu's IT initiatives and digital transformation journey, bringing expertise, innovation, and global capabilities to strengthen the Centre's mission. Aligned with India's broader HealthTech mission and the vision of 'Digital Jammu', the Centre positions the region as a hub for healthcare AI innovation. It will ensure ethical, secure, and regulated AI systems, supported by strong digital governance, data privacy compliance, and clinical safety frameworks. International collaboration will bring global expertise in diagnostics, virtual care, telemedicine, and clinical decision support, extending AI-enabled healthcare access to tier-3 cities and remote regions. Commenting on the initiative, Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta said, "This Global Centre will transform healthcare delivery by focusing on predictive, preventive, and precision-driven care. It will benefit patients, clinicians, and the wider healthcare ecosystem in India and beyond, setting a benchmark for innovation in healthcare." |
