| Govt middle school organized programme on climate change | | | Early Times Report Reasi, May 18: The govt. model middle school organized climate change programme with the financial help of W.W.F. & ministry of environment and forest (GOI) under the theme of climate change students and staff organized debate competition, plantation, rally, public meeting and street play in the Distt. Head Quators here today. The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Head Master M.A. Khan who appreciate the efforts of W.W.F. for generation awareness among the students community and out fast reseeding forest cover and its impact on our wild life, moisture conservation and floods. Chief Guest B.S. Sharma delivered a detailed lecture about climate change, and informed that the propose of organizing such type of programme, is to dispel the callous impression that the planet earth is meant only for man and its nature resources such as forest, water, wildlife, nature etc. are meant for his indiscriminate use only. He said planet earth has little space and limited resources which are meant for all living beings hence they need to be used sparingly. About two hundred students teachers and people teacher witness and enjoying the programme, and the persons who also spoke were Shaked Ahmad, Anuradha and Navinder Kumar etc.
