Jammu, Dec 6: he Institute of Management Studies (IMS) successfully hosted a vibrant two-day sports event on December 4th and 5th, fostering enthusiasm and camaraderie among its students. The event featured competitive matches in chess and badminton, drawing spirited participation from various academic batches. On December 4th, the chess tournament concluded with Mayur from BBA 1st Year emerging as the champion, demonstrating exceptional strategic skill. Nikhil from BBA 1st Year secured the runner-up position, marking a well-contested competition. In the women’s badminton category, Isha from BBA clinched the winner’s title while Harleen stood strong as the runner-up. The sporting excitement continued on December 5th with the men’s badminton tournament. Naman showcased outstanding performance to claim the winner’s crown, while Nitin finished as the runner-up, showcasing high-level badminton skills. Director IMS, Dr Meenakshi Sharma praised the participants for their sportsmanship and competitive spirit throughout the events, emphasizing the importance of sports in promoting holistic development and team-building among students. Chairman Er Vidhi S Jamwal and Managing Director Er Renu Bangroo also congratulated the faculty and staff of IMS for organizing such events to encourage physical activity, healthy competition, and campus engagement.
