Mandi Gobindgarh, Dec 6: The School of Hotel Management & Tourism, Desh Bhagat University, successfully organized a unique culinary workshop titled “Art of Sushi Culinary: Hands-on Workshop.” Renowned culinary professional Chef Anmol Gupta from Niyat Hospitality Solutions led the session, training students in authentic sushi-making techniques, key ingredients, plating styles and the cultural heritage of Japanese cuisine. The event was graced by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur who motivated students with their encouraging words. Dr. Zora Singh highlighted the value of global exposure, stating that international culinary skills open doors to worldwide career opportunities. Dr. Tajinder Kaur emphasized the importance of skill-based education, noting that such workshops nurture creativity, discipline, and cultural appreciation. The workshop was smoothly coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Rupinder Kaur, with support from faculty members Mr. Gurkiran Singh Mann, Ms. Nivedita, and Ms. Srishti. Director, Dr. Aman Sharma, praised the initiative for enhancing practical culinary skills and aligning student competencies with international standards. He expressed gratitude to Chef Gupta and the organizing team for enriching the learning experience.
