Gurdaspur, Dec 6: Under the wise leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. S. K. Mishra, Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, celebrated a remarkable milestone as two young researchers successfully completed their two-year research project in the field of advanced micro-machining. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Mishra congratulated Prof. Arun Nanda and Prof. Navjot Singh for their outstanding dedication, innovative thinking, and consistent efforts that led to this significant scientific achievement. During his visit to the Advanced Micro-Machining Laboratory, Dr. Mishra witnessed a live demonstration of the newly designed experimental setup. The researchers explained the working mechanism, technological innovations, and the wide-ranging applications of the system in precision engineering, manufacturing, and biomedical sectors. Dr. Mishra praised the accomplishment, stating that such pioneering research strengthens the scientific culture at SBSSU and elevates its reputation in advanced engineering research. The event was graced by Dean Research & Consultancy, Dr. Sarabjeet Singh Sidhu, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Anil Mahajan, Dean Academics, Dr. Harish Pungotra, and Dean Faculty, Dr. R. K. Awasthi, who commended the innovation for its potential to transform micro-level machining processes and promote high-quality research at the university. The researchers expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Mishra for his continuous support, encouragement, and commitment to creating a research-driven environment. They also thanked Dr. Sarabjeet Singh Sidhu for his invaluable guidance throughout the project. The team further informed that a patent for the invention has been filed in the name of Sardar Beant Singh State University. |
