Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 6: The Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM), J&K and Ladakh UT, submitted a memorandum regarding the recovery (liberation) of Indian territory occupied by China during the 1962 Indo-China War. Disregarding the slogan "Hindi-Chini Bhai-Bhai" and violating the Panchsheel Agreement between India and China, China attacked India's sacred land on 20 October 1962 to fulfil its expansionist intentions. During this attack, the Indian Army displayed indomitable courage and inflicted heavy losses on the Chinese forces. A large number of Indian soldiers made the supreme sacrifice, yet despite their bravery, China occupied a significant portion of Indian territory. On 14 November 1962, both Houses of the Indian Parliament unanimously passed a resolution to liberate the Indian land occupied by China. However, no concrete action has been taken on that resolution to date. To remind the nation of this historic commitment, all units of the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch, under the leadership of Hon'ble Indresh Kumar Ji-senior Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and guide of the BTSM-observe 14 November as Resolution Remembrance Day across the country. In this context, the Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch, J&K and Ladakh UT, submitted a memorandum to Hon'ble Member of Parliament Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma, requesting him to raise his voice in Parliament for the return of Indian land occupied by China and to help create a conducive environment for this national cause. The BTSM will always remain grateful for his efforts. Those present during the submission included Dr Vivek Sharma, President, J&K and Ladakh UT; Mr Rajinder Sadotra, General Secretary, J&K and Ladakh UT; and other members. |
