Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 6: Director Agriculture Jammu, Sh. Anil Gupta, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting on the progress of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and NABARD Capex for District Samba at the CAO office Samba. The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Samba, Sh. Rakesh Khajuria, SDAO Samba, Rajesh Gandotra, AEOs, JAEOs, and officers from the Planning Section. During the review, the Director Agriculture assessed both physical and financial progress of ongoing projects in the district. He emphasized that all officers must work collectively as a cohesive team, ensuring that the interest and welfare of farmers remain the topmost priority across every programme and intervention. Sh. Anil Gupta directed that Utilization Certificates (UCs) must be submitted within the prescribed time frame, and the latest Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) should be promptly forwarded to the Directorate without delay. Reviewing project-wise achievements, the Director stressed the timely and quality completion of Hi-Tech Polyhouses, Millet Mills and other major physical targets under HADP. He instructed officers to maintain close coordination with Executing Agencies to ensure smooth execution and field-level implementation. The Director also reviewed the expenditure status of the NABARD-funded Baba Jitto Project and directed that the remaining works be completed within one week, ensuring full utilization of released funds. He further underlined the need to accord special priority to PACS and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) so that farmer collectives receive adequate support, capacity building, and linkage to schemes for enhanced livelihood opportunities. The meeting concluded with a call for strengthened monitoring, timely reporting, and a renewed commitment to achieving district targets within stipulated timelines. |
