Bharat Vikas Parishad conducts ‘Bharat ko Jano’ quiz competition

JAMMU, Dec 6: Bharat Vikas Parishad conducted State Level Bharat ko Jano Quiz Competition at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School Sainik Colony Jammu. On this occasion Dr. Dilip Kumar Director Indian Institute of Mass Communications Jammu was the Chief Guest and Dr. Vishnu Govind Verma Principal MVM Jammu was the Guest of Honour.
The competition commenced with traditional lightening of Lamp by Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and State/Regional Team followed by Vandematram. Sh Ramesh Sharma, Prant General Secretary welcomed the participants and dignitaries.
Sunita Gupta, Prant President BVP threw light on the objectives of Bharat Vikas Parishad and various achievements of BVP. The Chief Guest lauded the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad which work for Sanskars and is running various Sewa Projects selflessly and reciprocated with all words of praise for the participants from different corners of J&K. Guest of Honour also lauded the efforts of BVP and said that youth should stay connected with the motherland and culture. 12 teams from various branches of BVP participated in Senior Category and 12 Teams in Junior category. Ashok Gupta Prantiya Vice President narrated the Rules and regulations of the competition. In the neck to neck Competition of Junior category students, Army Public School Akhnoor bagged 1st Prize whereas ASN HR. Secondary School got 2nd Prize and JK Montessorie School Talab Tillo settled at 3rd Prize. In another competition in Senior Category Army Public School Akhnoor bagged 1st Prize whereas St. Xavier Convent School Barnai bagged 2nd and Humanity Public School , Sainik Colony stood 3rd in the Competition and result was announced by Sh. Arun Sharma. It was informed that teams who stood 1st will be participating at Regional Level Competition to be held in Ferozepur (Pb) on 14th of December at Ponta Sahib Himachal Pradesh. Prominent among others who were present on this occasion were Dr. Santosh Gupta & Vijay Sharma (Prantiya Patrons), Smt Amita Sharma & Pf. Bharat Bhushan (Regional Secretaries), Sh. Saransh Jain yoga expert, Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Sh.Gopal Sharma & Shivram Sharma. Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurers & members from various branches, School teachers and prominent citizens from all walks of life participanted in the program. All the participants were given Mementoes and certificates.
The Quiz Competition was jointly conducted by Er. H.C Vaid, Sh. Ashok Gupta, Smt. Pratibha Dutta, Smt. Vandana Maini, Dr. Rajkumari Vats, Smt. Mona Sharma. Smt. Meenakshi Sharma run the Quiz on projector & Ashwani Sir was official Scorer.
All the proceedings culminated with National Anthem followed by vote of thanks presented by Sh. Rakesh Sharma State Finance Secretary.
