Early Times Report
CHANDIGARH, Dec 6: Honouring the unparalleled bravery and sacrifice of the Sahibzadas- Baba Ajit Singh ji, Baba Jujhar Singh ji, Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is all set to host a three-day educational session to imbue young minds with the valorous and rich Sikh history, announced S. Harjot Singh Bains, Minister of Education, Punjab.
He said that all schools including Govt, private & aided, in Punjab will observe a specially curated educational program on the life and martyrdom of the four Sahibzadas from December 22 to 24, 2025, featuring a 15-minute session in daily morning assemblies.
S. Harjot Singh Bains directed the PSEB officials to ensure the pedagogical material is meticulously prepared and duly vetted by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to ensure historical accuracy, reverence and authenticity.
The educational sessions are designed to immerse students in a golden chapter of Sikh history, exploring Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's departure from Qila Anandgarh Sahib and the events that led to the Saka Sirhind, highlighting Punjab's rich heritage, the Education Minister added.
He further informed that the PSEB headquarters will host spiritual and historical discourses daily, alongside Kirtan Darbar evenings (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) to be performed by school students, from December 22 to 24, 2025, to pay homage the Sikh martyrs. These events aim to create a deep emotional connection to Punjab's history and valour of Sikh warriors, highlighting the martyrs' unwavering faith and sacrifices for righteousness.
S. Harjot Singh Bains emphasised, "True education goes beyond textbooks to build character and connect our future generations to the roots of unparalleled sacrifice that define our land.
The three-day educational program on the Sahibzadas is a step to honour supreme sacrifice and instill the timeless values of courage, righteousness and resilience in every student of Punjab."
