| Amit shares expertise in NASSCOM-DSCI AISS Summit 2025, enlightens young JKAS Officers | | | Early Times Report NEW DELHI/JAMMU, Dec 6: Amit Sharma, IAS, Director Census Operations (DCO) & Director Citizen Registration (DCR), Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs for the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, happened to share his expertise in IT domain in the prestigious Twentieth Annual Information Security Summit organised by NASSCOM-DSCI in the national capital region wherein experts from lot of national and international organisations participated over last three days. DCO Government of India, MHA for J&K and Ladakh Amit Sharma had been invited as a keynote speaker and subject-specialist to lead a high-powered panel discussion around the theme of "Large Scale Digitization of Public Services : state of Security & Privacy for assessing preparedness, institutional capabilities and developmental policies". While expressing his opinion about the current state of policies which are in-place, Amit Sharma mentioned that in future, AI-driven and block-chain based robust models have to be put in-place, as Information secrecy and secured systems are the foundation towards implementing IT-reforms, like they are visible in his current assignment wherein they shall be conducting first-ever Paperless Digital Census in whole nation, which shall be backed by innovation and technology. The organisers led by Atul Kumar, Director DSCI, honoured Amit Sharma during the National Summit while expressed deep gratitude towards him for sharing important Info Security related perspectives which shall go a long way in shaping-up national policy on creating a robust IT ecosystem in the nation. Apart from this, Amit Sharma was also invited in J&K IMPARD in the middle of this week to interact and enlighten a fresh batch of JKAS Probationers who are undergoing training there. During his address, Amit talked about implementing technology and bringing about systemic changes for the welfare of citizens of the Union Territory while mentioning about several e-Governance reforms which took place during his stint as IT Secretary ans CEO, J&K e-Governance Agency in the past. Apart from this, IAS Amit Sharma also shared some contemporary examples of implementing e-Governance reforms which were brought in state of Mizoram during his stint as ICT Secretary including implementation of e-Office, Digilocker, BHASHINI and earlier in UT of Ladakh wherein SWAN, e-Office and similar IT initiatives saw the light of the day during his assignment as IT Secretary there. J&K IMPARD team led by Director Courses Reva Sharma during the conclusion of session mentioned Amit Sharma, being the topper of 2001 batch of JKAS and later, allocated 2012 batch of IAS AGMUT Cadre, as a go-getter, is also known as a reformist who has proven his mettle in all the tough tasks assigned to him, across the length and breadth of nation, from time to time. |
