Samba, Dec 7: The event was held under the guidance of Brig. Shalabh Pun, whose presence added dignity and motivation to the occasion. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
The day began with a melodious welcome song, setting a warm and festive tone for the event. This was followed by a vibrant cultural presentation showcasing diverse dance styles from different parts of India, beautifully reflecting the spirit of unity in diversity.
During the programme, Master Ankit, a student of Class 12, who secured 3rd position in the Under-19 Taekwondo category at the National Sports Meet held in Bangalore, was honoured and awarded Rs 5000 in recognition of his remarkable achievement.
The Principal Shri Gurnam Singh welcomed the Chief Guest and delivered his address. The Chief Guest, in his encouraging words, motivated and inspired all the participating athletes.
A variety of races and athletic events were organized for both primary and secondary students. Primary students participated enthusiastically in events such as the lemon and spoon race, frog race, sack race, and other fun activities, while secondary students took part in competitive events including the 100m, 600m, 1500m races, along with exciting team events like Kabaddi, which encouraged teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.
A special attraction of the day was the Hula Hoop game performed by the teaching staff, which brought cheer and enjoyment to the audience. This fun-filled segment added a lively and entertaining touch to the event.
The programme was effectively anchored by Mrs. Manisha Salathia and Mrs. Bhawna Sharma, who kept the event engaging and well-coordinated throughout. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Ajit Singh Rawat, who appreciated the efforts of the students, teachers, and organizers. Refreshments were arranged for the students at the end of the event.
This remarkable day celebrated the joy of healthy competition, the spirit of unity, and the essence of sportsmanship—leaving everyone with cherished memories.
