Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 8: J&K Faculty Members Appointed as Jury for Smart India Hackathon 2025 Grand Finale The Higher Education Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, has proudly nominated a distinguished team comprising of Principal of GDC HIRANAGAR and faculty members from GDC Hiranagar, GDC Udhampur, and GCOE Jammu to serve as Jury/Evaluators for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Grand Finale, scheduled for 8th-9th December 2025 at Vardhaman College of Engineering, Hyderabad. The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is organized by India's Ministry of Education (MoE)'s Innovation Cell in partnership with the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the patronage of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. A special acknowledgment is due to Dr. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, Director Colleges, whose visionary leadership, encouragement, and commitment to fostering a culture of innovation have been instrumental in creating opportunities for faculty and students alike. His unwavering support has significantly strengthened J&K's presence in national-level academic and innovation platforms such as SIH. The selection of 5 problem statements from colleges of J&K, 3 of which have been proposed by GDC HIRANAGAR marks a moment of pride for the Higher Education Department, reflecting the academic excellence, research capabilities, and innovation-driven spirit of J&K's leading institutions. The nominated jury members will also serve as mentors to shortlisted student teams, further enriching the national innovation ecosystem and contributing meaningfully to India's drive toward technological advancement. |
