Early Times Report LEH, Dec 8: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, held a constructive meeting with various delegations comprising Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) physical education teachers led by former Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Shri Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, at the LG Secretariat. The delegation apprised the Lt Governor that ReK teachers have rendered nearly seven years of dedicated service at government schools across Ladakh and requested the regularisation of their positions to secure their future and acknowledge their contributions. Similarly, Pankaj Sangral, Chairman of Sanjeevni Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Kargil, also met the Lt Governor to discuss his plans for establishing a BSc Nursing College in Kargil. In another meeting, a delegation from Poyen raised local concerns, including the inadequate supply of drinking water in the main town of Kargil and the need to rationalise subsidy components for Councillors of LAHDC Kargil to ensure benefits reach all intended beneficiaries. The Lt Governor assured all delegations of the UT Administration's commitment to addressing their issues through timely and effective interventions aimed at the welfare and development of Ladakh's people. |
