REASI, Dec 9: In a continuing crackdown against illegal mining and transportation of mineral material, District Police Reasi today seized two dumpers loaded with mining material at Katra.
A police team of Police Station Katra, while carrying out routine checking, intercepted the two vehicles; Dumper bearing Registration No. JK02BD-1447 and Dumper bearing Registration No. JK02AP-0265
Upon inspection, both vehicles were found transporting mining material without valid permission. The dumpers were seized on the spot and the concerned Mining Officer was informed for necessary legal action as per rules. The entire operation was carried out by SHO P/S Katra Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the close supervision of SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and SP Katra Vipan Chandran, JKPS.
SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, JKPS reiterates that strict action will continue against violators involved in illegal mining, transportation, and related activities. District Police Reasi remains committed to protecting natural resources and maintaining law and order in the district. |
