Kathua, Dec 10: J&k Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS arrested one accused person from Macheedi area of P/S Billawar, against whom FIR had already been registered at PS Derabassi, Punjab and later on handed over to Police team of P/S Derabassi, Punjab after completing all legal formalities.
On 20-06-2025 one person namely Vinod Kumar S/O Raj kumar R/O Koti Ward No.06 Village Billawar Distt.Kathua had registered a complaint regarding kidnapping of his sister (name witheld) Age about 16 years by Sajjad Malik S/O Altaf Hussain R/O Koti Ward No 06 Tehsil Lohai Malhar A/P Dadwara Tehsil Billawar at Police Station Dera Bassi, Mohali Punjab. On this complaint a case FIR No. 172/2025 U/S 137(2)/96/BNS, 7 POCSO Act got registered at P/S Dera Bassi, Punjab.
In continuing the above, a letter has been received from P/S Dera Bassi , Punjab regarding the said FIR. On the basis of this a team of Police Station Billawar searched about said accused under the jurisdiction of this P/S Billawar as well as Out of J&K U.T i.e Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pardesh, Punjab in many times, but did not get any success at these places. Again Police team Billawar did hectic effort and with the help of technical assistance alongwith timely Human intervention, the location of said accused found in Machhedi, Billawar. On this Police team of this P/S led by SHO Billawar Insp Zaheer Mushtaq under the Supervision of SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Kumar raided at different locations and arrested the accused person Namely Sajjad Malik S/O Altaf Hussain R/O Tehsil Lohai Malhar A/P Dadwara Tehsil Billawar Distt Kathua. In addition to this, the said accused person brought at this P/S Billawar with safe custody . After completing all legal formalities the said accused person has been handed over to Police team of P/S Dera Bassi Punjab for further investigation. |
