| 6 vagrants detained by Samba police, sent to District Jail Kathua | | |

SAMBA, Dec 11: Continuing its drive against vagrants wandering near chitta hotspot, Samba Police has detained six (06) vagrants under preventive sections of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and sent them to district Jail Kathua.
A team of Police Station Vijaypur during special operation around infamous chitta hotspot Rakh Barotian Vijaypur has detained six vagrants who were wandering suspiciously in the area.
The detained vagrants have been identified as 1. Mohd Younis S/o Abdul Rehman R/o Ganda tehsil R.S. Pura district Jammu 2. Yasir Ahmed S/o Mohd Farooq R/o Mentra tehsil & district Ramban 3. Mohd Saleem S/o Gani R/o Ganda tehsil R.S. Pura district Jammu 4. Mohd Barru S/o Nazir R/o Thana, Bhatyari district Jammu 5. Paras Sharma S/o Suresh Kumar R/o Billawar district Kathua and 6. Rahul Kumar S/o Dharam Pal R/o Near Balbharti School, Samba. This move aims to curb drug-related offenses in the area. |
