Jammu, Dec 15: St. Mary’s Infant Convent School (SMICS) celebrated its 11th Annual Day with a triumphant and inspiring showcase aptly themed “Wings of Wonder”. The event served as a resounding testament to the school’s holistic educational model, highlighting student performances that brilliantly reinforced the core pillars of strong character, national allegiance, and academic excellence. The gathering was led by Chief Guest Padma Shri Dr. S. P. Varma, joined by decorated officers Lieutenant Colonel Sandeep Ranadive and Lieutenant Colonel Alex Sebastian (Guests of Honor), and prominent social activist leading with a Gandhian philosophy, Dr. Robert Robin Gill (Special Guest). Though unable to attend due to a last-minute official meeting, Chief Education Officer Jammu, Sh. Ajeet Sharma, was also slated as a Special Guest and sent his sincerest best wishes and congratulations to the school, students, and management. The dignitaries were formally welcomed and honored with the traditional presentation of potted plants by the school’s leadership: Mrs. Anna Mary, Chairperson, and Mr. Anthony Ignatius, Director of St. Mary’s Infant Convent School. The ceremony officially commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, performed by all the distinguished guests and the school management.
