Katra, Dec 15: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Reasi Sucessfully culminated the UT-level Inter-District Under-19 Boys Softball Tournament at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra. In a keenly contested final, Jammu outplayed Srinagar to lift the championship title.
Shri Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, formally welcomed the Chief Guest, participating teams, and other dignitaries on the occasion. While sharing the details, he informed that more than 600 players across Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 age groups participated in the tournament, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for sports among youth. He emphasized that the smooth conduct of the event was made possible due to the generous cooperation of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Executive Officer, Shri Sachin Kumar Vaishnay (IAS)and the Director Sports, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Shri Dhruv Gupta (JKAS) for their constant support and encouragement. He also thanked the Chief Guest Sh. Sanjeev Kotwal for gracing the occasion and motivating the young sportspersons
